Oval face – All shapes and types of necklaces suit an
oval face. But, if you have a short neck, avoid chokers, as it makes the neck
look shorter and broader than it is.
Round face – Wearing a long necklace will create a
slimming effect by lengthening the look of the face. Wear long necklaces that
create a ‘V’ shape or draw attention below the neckline. But, avoid chunky
necklaces and chokers as they tend to shorten the neck.
Diamond face – You should avoid geometric shaped neck
pieces, i.e. triangular, square or rectangular shapes.
Heart face – Also, called the inverted triangle face, you
should wear short necklaces that reduce the appearance of length. Choker,

narrow chin. But, avoid wearing pendants that are pointed or angular necklaces.
Square face – Square faces have a strong jaw line, and
hence need long necklaces or neckpieces with curves to provide length to the
face and soften it. However, avoid very large stones, thin chains, and square
and triangular pendants as they will make your face look broader.
Oblong face – It is also called rectangular face. Wear
short necklaces as they make the length of your oblong face appear shorter.
Choker and princess length necklaces are ideal, especially if you have a long
neck. Avoid long, thin chains or neckpieces in pointed or oval designs.
